David LaChapelle: make BELIEVE
Fotografiska
New York
09 SEPTEMBER 2022 / 08 JANUARY 2023
A major new exhibition from David LaChapelle—the artist’s largest-ever U.S. exhibition; first New York museum solo show; and most comprehensive exhibition to date—will feature more than 150 works created between 1984 and 2022. Starting in 1980s-NYC with existential religious explorations LaChapelle made as the AIDS crisis ravaged his close circle, the exhibition spans the thematic and technical breadth of the artist’s diverse, 40-year career of narrative social commentary, with a “full circle” effect in his newer work’s matured revisitation of his early practice’s religious themes.

What an inspiring showcase at Fotografiska NY! ragdoll playground I loved the vibrant fusion of art and storytelling. It might be interesting to see how LaChapelle’s work resonates with emerging artists—perhaps a collaborative project in the future?
Got recommended Arena King by a coworker and the strategy games on there are pretty engaging. You can sink a surprising amount of time into the kingdom-building ones. Runs well in the browser without needing to download anything.
The soundtrack in Geometry Dash is more than background music; it acts as a guide, helping players anticipate jumps and transitions through rhythm and beat patterns.
Just imagining all those photos makes me wanna visit NYC again; wish I could grab some Anime Crusaders codes and visit before it ends next January!
Retro Bowl is the kind of game that feels best when everything else is quiet.
