David LaChapelle photographs British singer-songwriter Lola Young for the cover of Rolling Stone’s 2026 Future of Music issue. Young appears as one of three cover stars for the special issue, alongside BigXthaPlug and Fuerza Regida, all photographed by LaChapelle. The three covers celebrate artists across pop, hip-hop and música mexicana who are helping shape the next generation of music.

For Young’s photographs, LaChapelle and his team moved between several distinctly Los Angeles settings. The shoot took place on location along Hollywood Boulevard, as well as in the studio and at LaChapelle’s own swimming pool, creating a series of portraits that move between the energy of Hollywood and the more intimate, surreal atmosphere of LaChapelle’s personal world.

The collaboration brings together Young’s raw, unapologetic presence with LaChapelle’s distinctive visual language. Known for the emotional honesty and irreverence of her songwriting, Young becomes part of a long history between LaChapelle and Rolling Stone: the photographer has created covers for the magazine since 1998.

Together with LaChapelle’s portraits of BigXthaPlug and Fuerza Regida, the three covers form a vivid visual introduction to Rolling Stone’s Future of Music 2026—three very different artists representing an evolving musical landscape.

The first thing that caught my attention was the contrast between music and photography in the David LaChapelle piece featuring Lola Young for Rolling Stone’s Future of Music. A strong portrait can say almost as much as an interview when the styling, expression, and overall visual direction match the personality of the artist. I like projects like that because they show how much of modern music culture is shaped not only by the songs themselves, but also by the imagery built around them. While looking through a few UK-focused sites later on, I also opened https://casinositersites.uk/ and ended up reading more about how different casino brands can be connected through the same operator or sister-site network. That kind of background information…
