After a publicly acclaimed presentation in Mexico City, Curators César Vázquez Navarro and Fred Torres will present works of famous photographer, David LaChapelle in the exhibition Delirios De Razón | Delirium of Reason, in Guadalajara at the Museo de las Artes de la Universidad de Guadalajara

After 20 years as a photographer for hire, David LaChapelle now focuses his energy on the creation of images for artistic purposes. The exhibition, Delirios De Razón | Delirium of Reason is an exploration of this transition, with works created between 1995 and 2008.

Delirios De Razón | Delirium of Reason is curated into seven sections, which will see photographs of a series of celebrity portraits from his days working in publishing, as well as most recent monumental works in three dimensions. Other works explore themes of religion, destruction, and contemporary society. More than 60 of the most important works from the past 15 years by LaChapelle will be exhibited.

The exhibit will be opened from September 4th until November 15th, 2009, at the following times:  Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 to 18:00 hrs. and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 t0 16:00 hrs. The tickets cost will be $45.00 

We are confident that this visit of the artist referred to as " the Fellini of photography" will be the most important exhibit of contemporary and pop photography in recent times, A University Forum, will take place at Teatro Diana on Friday September 4th at 8:00pm, a space where young people can learn more directly the origin, inspiration and style of David LaChapelle.
